Our Facility

The Dwan Burn Center, located at 502 E. Second St, in Duluth, is equipped to treat all kinds of burns, including frostbite, as well as complex wounds.

Our facility, a regional burn center, includes:

• 15 patient rooms with views of Lake Superior, including 5 specially equipped intensive care rooms with environmental controls designed for burn patients
• Easy access from drive-through bay located on East Second Street
• Treatment room featuring a variety of hydrotherapy equipment and an area where staff can assess a patient's burns and begin initial care
• Special beds that reduce pressure on patient's wounds and aid healing
• Telemetry system, which allows nurses to remotely monitor a patient's heart rhythm and other vital information.
• The unit is also equipped to provide peritoneal and hemodialysis for hospitalized patients.
